You are visiting Sunriver for a fabulous vacation and you want a one stop shop where you can rent the equipment you will need for your day of fun and get the food and supplies you will need to take with you. The folks at Good 2 Go Oregon (or Good to Go Sunriver) provide rentals of water sport equipment as well as tour and lessons in the summer. In the winter they provide rentals of snow mobiles and other winter sports gear. They also have their very own deli where you can obtain sandwiches chips and cookies for your trip or eat them right there in the restaurant.
Your One Stop Shop
Located at 57100 Beaver Drive Building 17, Good to Go Oregon could be the answer to all your vacation questions, offering everything you need for an outdoor adventure you will never forget. You can reach them at (541) 593-0339 to ask any questions we haven’t answered here, but we’re pretty sure we’ve covered it all! Their snacks and sandwiches will help keep your strength up as you snowmobile through the woods, whitewater raft, or try your hand at some new winter sports which we discuss in greater detail a bit further down the page. We will offer a teaser, though, and tell you that if you have never tried a snow scooter before, your life is about to greatly change!
One of the most popular items on the menu is the shaved ice which is quite refreshing on a hot day and comes in many flavors, including chocolate. They also offer some gigantic smothered breakfast burritos that are enough for two meals. Good to Go Sunriver also offer wraps, salads and pastries.
Good 2 Go Oregon Rentals and Tours
In the summer the company rents rafts, river tubes, kayaks and canoes. If you are new to river water sports, you can take a guided trip with an instructor where they will take you to the section of the river of your choice and explain the history and geology of the area on the way.
In the winter you can rent toboggans and foam sleds for just $10. If you want to try something new you can rent snow skates for the same price. Snow skates are a combination of a snowboard and a skate board. You can also try your balance on a snow scooter, which is a scooter with skis on the front and back as well as breaks and handle bars.
If you prefer your winter fun to be a bit more automated, you can rent a snowmobile for $149 for half a day. Good 2 Go Oregon is located at the Village at Sunriver and the resort boast 250 miles of snowmobile trails.
Prefer Indoor Activities?
We understand that not everyone in your traveling party may enjoy the same activities. Many people prefer to find fun things to do inside when the temperatures drop, and if we are describing you, it’s ok; there are plenty of fun things to do inside while the rest of your family explores snow skating and snowmobiling with Good to Go Sunriver! Start with a visit to the Pine Tavern, located at 967 NW Brooks Street in nearby Bend. This restaurant has been a local tradition since opening day in 1936. While your family is learning new skills in the icy cold snow and eating sandwiches as they shiver, you can be enjoying a civilized meal in warm surroundings, sipping your favorite chardonnay as you scroll through your favorite social network site or play your coloring game on your phone. After a delicious and hot meal enjoyed next to the namesake pine tree that grows in the dining room, you will be more than ready for your own adventures in Bend—none of which will include falls in the snow or water, should you be visiting in the summer!
A Taste of the Outdoors
Of course, it’s always nice to enjoy a taste of the outdoors, as long as you don’t have to break a sweat, so why not spend your time in Bend doing a little shopping? As you explore the wares of charming shops in the Old Mill District, you can also enjoy the crisp beauty of an Oregon winter day. Filling your arms with new purses from Hello, Sunshine, something glittery from Saxon’s Fine Jewelers, or something sweet from the Sweet Toothe Candy Shop is the perfect way to celebrate your time away from reality, and when you step outside to forge on to the next shop, your life gets even better! All this “exercise” can make you thirsty, however, making a stop at the Naked Winery Tasting Room a welcome break after a long day of shopping! A glass of Partners in Wine white or Climax red will bring a smile to your face at the name and happiness to your soul!
