Sunriver Antique & Classic Car Show

Sunriver Quilt Show

Hosted by the Mountain Meadow Quilters, the Sunriver Quilt Show has been a staple of Sunriver fun since 1988 and returns this year bigger and better than ever! Banff Film Festival

The Festival

The 43rd annual film festival will be held in Sunriver from October 27 through November 4, 2018 at The Banff Centre and is held concurrently with the Banff Mountain Book Festival. Both festivals showcase a range of themes including mountain culture, wilderness sports, and environmental issues, and strive to bring the very best in the medium and the outdoor adventure genre to the enthralled public. Over the course of 2018, as many as 300 aspiring filmmakers and other hopefuls will submit their passion projects for consideration, with the top 60 or so making the festival lineup. At the festival’s conclusion, the award-winning films will join the Banff World Tour, leaving Sunriver to travel the globe to more than 300 cities in 20 countries in a traveling display of the very best of the best. A special subset of selections with a higher “adrenaline content” will comprise the Radical Reels Tour, an equally popular traveling exhibition of the best in high-octane movies with subjects like BASE-jumping, skiing, snow kiting, and much, much more.

The Newberry National Volcanic Monument is home to Newberry Crater, a 17 square mile caldera in the heart of a volcano that is both seismically and geothermally active. This caldera lies in the heart of the national monument surrounded by 54,000+ acres of sparkling lakes, lava flows, and some of the most beautiful scenery you’ll find anywhere in Oregon. Hike the trails and explore the volcano, or head to the top of Paulina Peak, where you can see some of the most majestic views of the Cascades anywhere.
